Our centre is purposed built with 5 individual rooms to meet the needs of each age group. By doing this we believe that we can focus more closely on each child’s development and wellbeing at their given age and stage. We believe in providing the best environment to allow little learners to explore and grow both inside and outside. As part of this we have new playground areas individually designed and built with each age group in mind.

Settling In: At LIFE Childcare Centre we pride ourselves in providing an easy and exciting settling in process for you and your child. On your first visit we welcome your child and whanau with a thorough tour of the room and introduction of the Kaiako (Teachers) and our daily routines. Your child will then be allocated to a key Kaiako (Teacher) who will spend quality time getting to know your child, their routines, interests and what bet provides comfort to your child during this process. This is to ensure that we are providing a sense of belonging for your child within their new learning environment. The key kaiako will spend time with your child on their first day getting to know them and introducing them to all the children within the room. From this, your child will then receive a first day page showing what they enjoyed participating in throughout the day and how it went. We effectively communicate with parents and whanau throughout each settling in day to ensure that you are given information about how their settling in process is going. The settling in process is an important part of your child’s journey here at LIFE Childcare Centre and we aim to do this within an open and welcoming environment.
Curriculum @ LIFE Childcare: Our teachers are incredibly passionate about supporting each child’s development. The curriculum is a key part of this, which can be described as what we do in the centre that impacts on the child’s learning, development and well-being. We design individual learning experiences encompassing Te Whariki (New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum) as we incorporate our Christian Philosophy, values and principles. We teach skills and build up our tamariki’s (children’s) values, dispositions and the character of each individual child through experiences and play. We incorporate a focus on whakawhanaungatanga emphasising the value of relationships we build with our families. We work alongside you and your family as we journey together on your child’s learning journey. We value our purpose built home away from home where our Aunties care and teach the tamariki in our centre.
